Old Business

Jim Dunn stated that the participation at the Fairlane Village mall show was very low. He reminded the members that we have another show on April 11 & 12 at the Laurel Mall, Hazleton, and asked that the members come out and help the club run the show. He also stated that ticket sales at the show were very low.

He reminded everyone that there will be tickets available at the next meeting, each member is asked to sell 10 tickets.

New Business

The club has been asked by Walt Basiago if Cub Scout pack number 725 could use the field for their rocket launch on one of the following days. May 5, 12, 19. They prefer the May 12 date at 6:00PM, (Tuesday night). A motion was made by Mark Vukmanovich and seconded by Walt Basiago and passed unanimously to allow them to use the field that night.

Joe St Onge reported that the bulletin board glass was broken. Joe made the necessary repairs. Jim Dunn asked to be notified of any damage done to any club property.

Jim Dunn had a discussion on safety at the field. The subject of Turbine powered aircraft came up and was discussed. His concern was that we have homes and businesses in close proximity to the field. These aircraft require a larger foot print to fly due to the high speed of them. He stated that they have a very large turning radius and the risk of them going beyond the designated flight line was at a greater risk. Also extensive damage to the field from the heat of the turbine's exhaust. He stated that the club has an excellent relationship with our neighbors and the Park Service and also an excellent safety record. We don't want any of these relationships jeopardized. After a lengthy discussion, a vote was taken and 14 members voted to place a ban on ALL turbine powered aircraft at the field. 1 member voted against the idea to place a ban on these type of aircraft. Also any events that we have such as Aerorama or fun fly's will be advertised to include the wording that Turbine powered aircraft will not be permitted to use the field.

Jimmy Graver informed the membership that the Port a John will be placed at the field for May 1,2015 and the price of the unit has been increased by $5.00 per month

Walt Basiago made a request to look into the possibility of squaring off the field.

Jim Dunn asked if any other business was to be discussed, with the membership stating no further items to discuss, the meeting was closed at 7:58pm. A motion was made to close the meeting by Tim Vincent.
