Fairlane Village Mall Show
Walt Basiago reported that the interest from the public as well as club members was very poor at the mall show. We only had six planes there. The public did not show interest in the planes. 50/50 Raffle netted $18.00. There were 20 raffle tickets sold. Ten of those twenty were turned in by a member. The members at the mall voted to leave early on Saturday and not to return Sunday. Club plans for mall shows will need to be re-evaluated.
The club field is closed April 5, 2016. The Park Service will be using it as a heliport for training exercises. The planned time frame is 9 AM to 5 PM, but training may run longer.
The port-a-potty has been placed for the season. John Majikas reported that it had been blown over. He contacted Biros to advise them as well as report that the door had been damaged. A way is needed to secure the port-a-potty as previous means have since become ineffective.
Intro Pilot Program
Walt Basiago reported on AMA's Intro Pilot Program. A member who wants to be an instructor needs to be register with AMA. The student is covered under the instructor's AMA for 60 days. Accurate records for training must be maintain for the 60 day period. After this time the student must apply for their own AMA coverage. Walt asked who would be interested along with him. Jim Dunn, Brad Yachimowski, and John Kennedy showed interest. Walt said he would try to register as a group. If not, he will advise.
Walt presented the requirements and electives on the Leadership Club application. Each item was reviewed. The membership agreed that the club did not meet enough points to qualify for Leadership Club status. It was agreed that the application would not be submitted.

A list of repairs are:

Some of the poles had been replaced and painted about three years ago. Ron Schwartz indicated that there is no more painted left. The paint was purchased at Lowe's and he will send the brand and color to Walt.
