Jim Dunn discussed the War Bird Show and said it was a very big disappointment. We had 3 fliers from Maryland and only one club member participate in the flying. He is suggesting that we discontinue holding the War Bird event. He thanked Walt Basiago for providing equipment and for being the DJ for the event.
A discussion about Aerorama show started by Jim Dunn asking that all members come to the event and either fly or help to make the event a success. Ed Pollack stated that he would take care of the food tent with the help of a friend who is a Chef. Ed also said he think he could provide additional help with the tent. He stated he would get contact with the officers if anything changes. It was also stated that we need to get newspaper coverage to cover the event. Ed Pollack stated he would take care of doing a radio advertisement to promote the event.
Jim Dunn read a letter he received from Tom Rang on holding a demonstration for a group Tom is involved in. A large group of was interested, but change their mind frequently. Jim stated that we need to have at least 10 of their members come to the event or it was not worth having a show team come out to put on the demo. It was asked if they could come to Aerorama and see a variety of planes and it was stated that they only are together during the week days.
Jim Dunn also reminded all member that they need to get all tickets returned for the raffle.
Bob Greenall gave a report on the Schuylkill County Fair. He stated that the attendance was lower than last year. Larry Smith flew a helicopter for those in attendance. The members who attended gave away Styrofoam planes that the fair provided to those who stopped by our display. He reported that they only sold $10.00 worth of tickets at the fair for the truck raffle.Jimmy Graver will send a thank you to the fair for inviting us.

A long, vast , heated discussion then started about access to the retrieval pole. The membership was informed that only the club officers would have the combination to the lock box that holds the pole. No club member would have access to it without first contacting an officer. It was stated that the pin box has been found open on various times and we cannot afford to have the lock box that holds the pole left open. It was also stated that items have been stolen from the pin box by members who have access to it . The final discussion was to keep the current protocol in place and notify an officer if you need the pole.
Nancy Stevens suggested that we move the donation box from the gate. It was decided to leave it at the gate as it had been beneficial to the club with people giving donations when they come to the event.
Jim Dunn asked if any other business was to be discussed and with the membership stating no further items to discuss the meeting was closed at 7:52PM. A motion made by Dave Kessler and a second by Bernie Wargo closed the meeting.
