New Business

Jimmy Graver gave a report on the mall shows. The date for the mall shows is as follows:

  • Fairlane Village Mall Pottsville, Pa. March 14 & 15, 2015

  • Laurel Mall Hazleton, Pa. April 11 & 12, 2015

  • Both malls will supply the tables and chairs. Set up will be at 8:00AM on Saturday for both shows.

Date for Aerorama is Sunday, August 23, 2015. Les will sponsor the tickets for the plane to be raffled off.

Jim Dunn received a call about the death of a club member and was asked if flowers were going to be sent. He informed that person that this has been discussed before and it has been decided / voted on that only a card would be sent to the family.

There was no response from the Sweatland club as doing any joint club events.

Jim Dunn stated that he would like to hold picnic/fun fly at the club field every month. It will be held every third Sunday starting in April. The price will be $5.00 per person. The dates that were stated are as follows:

  • April 19,2015

  • May 17,2015

  • June 21,2015

  • July 19, 2015

  • August 16, 2015

  • September 20, 2015.

Tickets:

Tim Vincent brought up the subject of Aerorama ticket sales and stated that there are members who do not sell any of their tickets. He suggested that those who do not sell tickets should be assessed a $20.00 fee. A discussion followed and it was decided that for 2016 the dues will be increased to $70.00 per person, and each member will be given 10 free Aerorama tickets to keep or sell. The member will be able to keep the proceeds if they choose to sell the tickets.

This will eliminate the problem of members who do not sell or purchase tickets to help offset the cost to operate and maintain the club and field. It was voted on and the results of the members present were 15 for and 1 against.

Jim Dunn asked if any other business was to be discussed and with the membership stating no further items to discuss the meeting was closed at 7:42 PM.

A motion made by Walt Basiago and a second by Dave Kessler closed the meeting.
